My little man is FOUR

   It seems like most day/weeks/months fly by faster the day before. I'm having a hard time believing that tomorrow is in fact Wesley's 4th birthday. Here's a few pics of his birthday yesterday with some neighbourhood friends. We had a great time and he was pretty excited!! I asked his what his favourite part was and he said "THE CAKE!" We have one more party and Saturday then the first day of school on Tuesday...busy busy week!

ottawa :)

We hit ottawa for a few days to visit auntie jenn . We had lot's of fun in her fab neighbourhood, played in the park, at pizza and  a few stayed up way to late. Trisha even stoped by with an early birthday Excavator for wesley...life was good! We went to the museum of Nature for a few hours to check out the whales, bugs, birds and lot's of harry mamals!! Good time had by all, thanks aunti Jenn.

SALSA

 We've been making alot of salsa with all our tomatoes from the garden. The kids have been loving it. Isobel eats it with a spoon :) We've been using the Epicure spice mix, peaches and tomatoes...very yummy.

Value village strikes again!

Our last trip to Value village nabbed us one of our best finds yet. A 1970's fisher price Cash register, coins and all!! Wesley has been setting up a grocery store in the playroom. Everyone has been getting in on the action.

Fun with Auntie Jenn

Just thought I'd share some pics of the last few weeks. We've been busy with visitors, swimming, the park and the garden. Lot's of tomatoes are starting to turn red, we've been collecting then and we're planning to make homemade tomato soup sometime in the next few days. The cucumbers have slowed down, much to the kids disappointment (we were eating two or three a day).

We love to go to Lemoine Point when Auntie Jenn comes to visit! We found a SNAKE this time!!! Lucky for us Auntie Jenn is a pro at catching them...soooo cool. We're always excited to see the butterflies and we got a look at a little woodpecker too!

The garden

This year i had a amazing batch of sunflowers. We've been watching them pop up all over the place and grow bigger and bigger. And now we've been gathering  all the seeds. I have to admit that i think the seeds look just as beautiful as the flowers did!

Our Swallowtail caterpillar has disappeared. I snapped this shot of him a few days ago in the morning and when we went out in the afternoon he had disappeared. Now if we could just find that chrysalis!
